Sinusuportahan ng Profibus-DP master module ang 1 DP interface, sinusuportahan ang karaniwang PROFIBUS-DP V0/V1 protocol, at sinusuportahan ang Profibus-DP master working mode.

Sa kumbinasyon ng adapter module, ang Profibus-DP protocol ay maaaring i-convert sa iba pang mga protocol, tulad ng ModbusTCP, Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, atbp. Kapag ginagamit ang module, kinakailangang i-configure ang proseso ng data sa pagbasa at pagsulat ng mga tagubilin, diagnostic na tagubilin, impormasyon sa pagsasaayos, at mga parameter ng pagsasaayos ng Profibus-DP bus sa IO Config software.
